When someone says they will do something and then doesn't, the most common explanation is that they lied. The more accurate explanation is that their conscious mind said yes and their unconscious mind said no. Both communications happened simultaneously. The person who heard only the yes, and acted on it, was reading half the conversation. This is what most communication does — operates at the conscious level and misses everything underneath. The dynamics of conscious and unconscious communication is foundational to everything Antano and Harini teach: every interaction is two conversations happening simultaneously, and the practitioner who can hear both operates with a completely different quality of understanding. Congruence — when conscious and unconscious align — is rare, powerful, and immediately recognizable. Incongruence is the source of most relationship breakdowns, most failed agreements, and most miscommunication that no amount of better language can repair.
